Cypress Speaks Speech Therapy is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-Assistant) to join our growing pediatric private practice in Cypress, Texas.
This position is ideal for an SLP-Assistant who enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and families, providing engaging and individualized therapy, and working as part of a supportive clinical team.
Our clinic serves children with a variety of communication needs, including speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, autism, AAC needs, social-pragmatic differences, and developmental disabilities.

Schedule
The anticipated schedule is Monday through Thursday, with afternoon and evening availability required.
Typical clinic hours are:
- Monday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
The schedule includes designated paid time for documentation, planning, collaboration, and other administrative responsibilities. The position is primarily clinic-based but may include services provided at partnering pediatric programs or ABA centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement individualized plans of care and treatment activities
- Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate, and play-based therapy
- Collect accurate data during each therapy session
- Complete SOAP notes and other required documentation within established timelines
- Communicate professionally with supervising SLPs, families, caregivers, and clinic staff
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain an organized treatment space
- Participate in supervision meetings, team meetings, training, and continuing education
- Follow HIPAA requirements, clinic policies, ethical standards, and Texas licensing regulations
- Support children who use AAC and other alternative communication systems
- Maintain dependable attendance and consistent communication with clinic leadership
Qualifications
- Current Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
- Completion of all required clinical observation and practicum hours
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage documentation and complete SOAP notes accurately and efficiently
- Dependable, organized, collaborative, and receptive to feedback
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Experience with autism, AAC, speech sound disorders, and language delays is preferred
- Evening availability is required
