Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Driver, Delivering SOD and take charge of delivering freight safely, efficiently, and on schedule. In this vital role, you'll operate tractor-trailers across various local routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, across assigned routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and security during transit
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel consumption
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checks on refrigeration units, brakes, tires, lights, and load securement
- Document delivery activities accurately, including logs for hours of service, cargo manifests, and incident reports
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, cargo handling, and hazardous materials transportation
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route driving preferred
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and perform truck loading/unloading tasks efficiently
Pay: From $29.00 per hour
