Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for conveyor and automation projects. This role is responsible for leading on-site electrical teams, ensuring project deadlines are met, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating with other trades to deliver turnkey solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision & Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate electrical installation crews on conveyor and automation projects.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Provide on-site technical guidance and troubleshooting for electrical systems.
- Project Coordination
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee material delivery, storage, and inventory management for electrical components.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical work meets industry codes, client specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems, including PLC panels, VFDs, motors, and control wiring.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and as-built documentation.
- Health & Safety
- Enforce strict compliance with site safety procedures and company policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings for the electrical crew.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards on the job site.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong background in conveyor systems, material handling, or industrial automation.
- Experience with PLC wiring, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Journeyperson Electrician (or equivalent) – required.
- Additional certifications in industrial automation, controls, or safety (OSHA, WHMIS, etc.) are an asset.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to travel 100% to customer sites .
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites anywhere in U.S.
