Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and electrical testing tools to identify root causes efficiently.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery, including mixers, encapsulation machines, packaging equipment, stick pack machines, and conveyors.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FDA, GMP, NSF, and company safety guidelines.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency.
- Safety & Quality Assurance: Follow safety protocols and work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain production integrity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
- Inventory & Parts Management: Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate orders for necessary replacements.
- Collaboration: Work with production supervisors, machine operators, and quality teams to optimize machinery efficiency and reduce waste.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in machinery maintenance within the dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, food, or industrial industry.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, mixers, encapsulation machines, packaging equipment, conveyors, and vacuum pumps.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and industry-specific regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with automated production equipment.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations.
