The Weld Shop Helper assists with daily operations in a fence fabrication shop. This role supports welders by preparing materials, operating power tools, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication of metal fences and gates
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials.
- Operate power tools and shop equipment
- Support welders with setup and general tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- Reliable and punctual with consistent attendance
- Must have dependable transportation
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Experience using power tools
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding experience (MIG preferred)
- Previous experience in a fabrication, fencing, or construction environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a shop environment
Work Environment:
This position operates in a fabrication shop setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm
Pay based on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
