Czarniecki Construction, Inc. is seeking Traveling Field Carpenter to join our growing team. This full-time position involves working on commercial and industrial construction projects, with weekly overnight travel (typically Monday–Thursday). Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Overnight travel regularly for out-of-town work (Monday–Thursday typical)
- Perform finish carpentry tasks on commercial and industrial job sites
- Follow project plans, safety procedures, and quality standards
- Measure, cut, and install materials with precision
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (used for in-town and out-of-town travel; mileage reimbursed for out-of-town work)
- Must be able and willing to travel overnight up to 4 nights/week
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must pass a background check with no felony convictions
- Able to work overtime when required
- Minimum 2 years of finish carpentry or related experience preferred
- Proficient with basic construction math (measuring, calculating lengths, reading drawings)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to working safely and efficiently on every job
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and fingers to operate tools, handle materials, and perform detailed carpentry work
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts
- Capable of working in a variety of conditions, including indoor and outdoor environments and all weather
- Must be able to travel frequently and stay overnight for out-of-town projects (up to 4 nights per week)
