Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in providing safe and efficient medication distribution to patients. This role includes preparing prescriptions, maintaining accurate patient records, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, process, and fill prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications.
- Maintain patient profiles with up-to-date prescription and insurance information.
- Assist with insurance claims processing and resolve billing issues.
- Manage and stock medication inventory; check for expired or low-stock items.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and referring clinical matters to the pharmacist.
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
Support pharmacists in maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) as required by state law.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
