Duties
- Operate and monitor various machinery and equipment on the production line, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food processing and packaging.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform sanitation of work areas in accordance with the Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Assist with moving raw materials or finished products from and to the storage areas using pallet jacks or other mechanical tools as needed.
- Record production data accurately, including quantities produced, machine performance, and quality checks using basic math skills.
- Support adherence to FDA regulations, food safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Prior experience in food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and sanitation standards within the food industry.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory tracking and quality control purposes.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, food safety and quality assurance.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
