American Traveler is hiring a first-time-traveler-eligible RN for an ICU position at an acute care facility in Redwood, CA, requiring Epic experience and a valid CA RN license.

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in an acute care hospital setting
-
Average daily census of 4 patients
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
-
2 out of every 4 weekends required; weekend defined as 2 consecutive days Friday–Sunday
-
Floating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate facilities
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
13-week contract
-
Active CA RN license required; pending CA license accepted
-
Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS; PALS required
-
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Proficiency with IV therapy, central line care/management, PICC line management, and arterial line management
-
Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation
-
Experience with vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, continuous IV sedation, and emergency medications
-
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates; local candidates are accepted at a different rate

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days for the duration of the assignment

Scrubs or business casual attire permitted
