Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Delivery Driver Helper to assist with daily delivery operations. The ideal candidate will support the delivery team by loading, unloading, and assisting with route driving, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the delivery driver with loading and unloading goods using equipment such as pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques
- Help organize and secure cargo in box trucks for safe transportation
- Support route driving duties by helping navigate and ensuring timely deliveries to customers
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions, addressing customer questions or concerns professionally
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of packages, often requiring manual effort and proper safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and work area
- Follow safety protocols during loading, unloading, and route driving to ensure safety for self and others
Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service, warehouse operations, or delivery support preferred
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous
- Strong route driving skills with knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Physical ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly throughout the shift
- Reliable transportation to get to the work site daily
- Prior delivery driver experience or courier background is beneficial but not required
*Training Requirements
Drivers and Helpers must complete 6 days of training !
Training helps the contractor learn of your skills and customer service.
Drivers and Helpers will install washers, dryers, Refrigerator's and Over the stove Microwaves. Knowledge must be a minimum of 75% in these duties.
Learning these tasks will increase your pay!!
Pay: From $600.00 per week
