Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be the guiding force behind creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers! Your leadership will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and grow while fostering a love for learning from the very start. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to toddler developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead classroom activities that promote curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to child welfare standards, first aid and CPR protocols, and mandated reporting laws.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering a collaborative partnership.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children and staff alike.
- Incorporate specialized techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides to uphold high-quality childcare standards and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers or preschool-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention methods, child assessments, and child welfare policies a plus.
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is essential.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Prior classroom experience in daycare centers or private schools; forest school or preschool teaching experience is highly valued.
