Join our vibrant team at childhood dreams daycare. Childhood Dreams is a homebased daycare as a Child Care Assistant, where your enthusiasm. We are currently hiring for a childcare assiatant that will help foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will contribute to creating a joyful learning space that encourages curiosity, growth, and social skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives while gaining valuable experience in childcare and early childhood education.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers and caregivers in implementing daily activities that promote childhood development and learning.
- Provide attentive care to toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills through engaging activities.
- Help with diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene routines in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and creative projects that stimulate curiosity and cognitive growth.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and learning materials regularly.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare settings, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure immediate response to emergencies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions among children.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
