Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches, salads, and breakfast items with precision and care
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients according to menu specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area and kitchen stations to ensure food safety standards are met
- Follow all food handling procedures, including proper storage, sanitation, and cross-contamination prevention
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and tasks
- Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented attractively for customers
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, cafes, or catering is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards assisting others
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including mornings and weekends as needed
