A Better Solution In-Home Care is seeking a reliable, detail-driven Scheduler to manage caregiver-client matching, maintain daily and weekly schedules, and respond quickly to real-time changes. This role is critical to client satisfaction, caregiver stability, and ABS's 2026 growth goals. The Scheduler ensures predictable, dignity-driven schedules while maintaining continuity of care for clients. Hybrid work is available after 30 to 60 days of successful training and demonstrated reliability.

What you'll do:
The Scheduler is responsible for building and maintaining the daily and weekly staffing structure that keeps ABS running smoothly. This role requires strong judgment, emotional steadiness, and the ability to balance caregiver needs with client expectations while protecting ABS's standards.
This includes:
- Creating and updating caregiver schedules using SwyftOps (or similar software)
- Matching caregivers to clients based on skills, availability, location, preferences, and continuity-of-care goals
- Responding quickly and professionally to call-outs, sick days, and last-minute changes
- Communicating schedule updates to caregivers and clients with clarity, warmth, and professionalism
- Documenting all schedule changes, callouts, confirmations, and client updates in real time
- Monitoring caregiver utilization and identifying low coverage periods
- Tracking missed shifts, retention indicators, and client feedback for bonus metrics
- Collaborating with the Director on high-priority cases and growth needs
- Operating with urgency and accuracy, consistent with ABS's Staffing Doctrine
- Maintaining professional, respectful, and firm boundaries with caregivers and clients
Required skills and experience:
The ideal candidate brings a blend of operational discipline, communication skills, and calm problem-solving.
Requirements include:
- 1 to 3 years of home care scheduling experience strongly preferred
- Experience in healthcare scheduling, staffing, dispatch, or high-volume coordination will also be considered
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Calm, solution-focused temperament during high-volume or urgent situations
- Excellent phone and email communication skills
- Experience with scheduling software; SwyftOps experience a plus
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work core hours beginning at 7:00 AM
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- Ability to communicate with clarity, warmth, and professionalism consistent with ABS standards
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary: $50,000 per year, with the opportunity to earn a discretionary performance bonus for exceptional reliability, operational impact, and outstanding contributions to the success of the organization.
The role begins with a 90-day introductory period, including structured performance check-ins to ensure clarity, alignment, and long-term success.

This position requires consistent follow-through, real-time documentation, and proactive problem-solving to support caregivers, clients, and the overall success of ABS. The Scheduler is expected to take ownership of outcomes, operate with urgency, and contribute to a culture of reliability, clarity, and excellence.
