Job Summary
Klein Transportation is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Part-Time Tour Director to lead passengers on both day tours and multi-day overnight tours. The Tour Director is responsible for ensuring a smooth, engaging, and enjoyable experience from departure to return, acting as the primary host and liaison throughout each trip.
This role is ideal for an outgoing individual who enjoys working with people, has strong organizational skills, and thrives in a travel- and hospitality-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and escort groups on day tours and multi-day overnight tours, ensuring a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience.
- Provide commentary, information, and assistance throughout the tour (training and resources provided).
- Manage trip logistics, including coordinating with hotels, attractions, restaurants, and local guides.
- Communicate clearly with passengers, drivers, and partner vendors to ensure timely and seamless tour operations.
- Assist passengers with questions, concerns, and special needs with a friendly, service-oriented approach.
- Handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally (delays, changes in itinerary, passenger needs).
- Promote a positive group atmosphere, encouraging guest engagement and satisfaction.
- Represent Klein Transportation with professionalism, courtesy, and enthusiasm.
Required Skills
- Experience leading groups, guiding, coaching, teaching, or in similar customer-facing roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality, travel, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to manage schedules, multitask, and stay organized in dynamic environments.
- Comfortable with public speaking and engaging groups of various sizes.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights.
