As a Facilities & Maintenance Lead , you will create and assign work orders, monitor productivity and efficiency of the team, and assist the Maintenance Manager.
What You Will Do
- Assists Maintenance Manager with work orders, work schedules and upkeep of MTS (maintenance tracking system).
- Creates work orders, assigns work to technicians and co-directs all work within the maintenance department. Reviews work in process and checks completed work to ensure quality and timely completion of job assignments.
- Monitors and pro-actively addresses overtime, productivity, efficiency and work order discipline of team members.
- Assists with and conducts daily stand-up meetings and attends daily business unit meetings in absence of Maintenance Manager.
- Instructs other employees in the proper method and procedures of performing jobs when required.
- Generates measures of performance (MOP’s) and assists with analysis and development of actions.
- Works with the Maintenance Manager to determine training requirements, monitors progress to the plan and addresses any gaps.
- Provides performance evaluation input to the Maintenance Manager for team members.
- Recognizes and understands job safety critical processes, is pro-active in risk analysis for all safety critical processes.
- Responsible for immediately reporting any safety concerns.
- Updates and reports out on cost of poor quality. Leads and participates in identification of root cause and corrective actions.
- Actively promotes CI, monitors progress within the department and assists where required to ensure goals are met.
