Freeman Boatworks is looking for a Final Detail Technician to help ensure every Freeman leaves our facility in flawless, delivery-ready condition. What You’ll Do
- Wash, clean, and detail boats inside and out
- Perform final finish work on windows, upholstery, canvas, isinglass, bilges, and fiberglass
- Prep boats for delivery and complete thorough final inspections
- Identify defects or touch-ups and communicate rework needs to production leads
- Strip, caulk, and etch boats as needed to achieve a pristine finish
- Safely use buffers, polishers, and detailing products
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Pitch in with other production and delivery tasks when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in marine, automotive, or similar detailing preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning products, waxes, degreasers, and proper detailing techniques
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable working on ladders, platforms, and around various boat structures
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently or with a team
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and twisting
- Standing and walking for 8+ hours
- Working in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Required PPE: safety glasses and closed-toe shoes; hearing protection as needed
