Vending Business Seeking New Full-Time Employee.

J. S. Sales is a small, family-owned vending business with over 25 years in the vending industry and we're seeking a new team member. From the working owner to the part-time help, every employee that works for our company is important to our success and treated as such.
We're currently looking for a honest, punctual, detail oriented, and friendly individual to join our company. This is a great position for people who like to work independently.
This is a long-term stable position. Your main job is to fill a vending route throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding communities. You will also be required to keep your truck clean, help load trucks for the next service day and help put away inventory that comes in the end of each week.
Compensation: $45,000 to $50,000 annually (based on qualifications). Annual wage based on an average 45 to 50 hour work week; wage includes straight time plus overtime. You are paid hourly plus overtime; this is not a salary or a sales/commission-based position.
Paid weekly via Direct Deposit.
HOURS:
Vending Route Days: 5:00AM Start on the days your fill vending machines that typically lasts 10 to 12+ hours depending on weather, traffic, etc. A typical route day ends after all drivers are back and trucks are loaded and ready for the next route day; due to weather conditions and traffic, days can last until 6:00 - 6:30PM, but we are typically done between 4:30PM and 5:30PM.
On Friday's we start at 7:00AM getting ready for the next week. Usually, we try to be done late morning to afternoon. Friday's are also used to make up a missed route day due to holiday's, drivers out sick, vacation, etc.. When this happens your Friday will become a "route day" and will last longer.
**We do not work Nights, Weekends or Holidays.**
Paid Holiday's off include New Years Day, Memorial Day Monday, The 4th of July, Labor Day Monday, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive a box truck throughout the Twin Cities and surrounding area
- Fill pop and candy vending machines. You'll use a handheld tablet to track product in/out - simple to use, no computer experience needed.
- Do simple maintenance on the vending machines as you're filling (coin jams, dollar jams, etc.). We teach you how to do these things.
- Help load trucks at the end of each route day
- Keep your truck organized, clean and do daily inspections per DOT requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pass required drug and background checks (we don't do a background check until after we interview a candidate and they want to move forward)
- Valid Driver's License without any driving restrictions
- Clean driving record is very important. If we cannot insure you, we cannot hire you.
- Ability to get and maintain a DOT health card (can be obtained after you are hired, cost is your responsibility)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to handle physical workload in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the drive to keep yourself busy
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, vending or other related fields is a plus but not required
- You must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with other employees and customers in English.
Important note: We are a small company and do not offer health/dental/vision benefits because the plan options are not a good value. You would be responsible for securing your own medical benefits from an outside source.
