Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Cook a variety of menu items with precision, speed, and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards at all times
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Handle food safely during storage, preparation, and serving processes to prevent contamination
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery
- Serve dishes with professionalism, ensuring presentation meets quality standards and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Proven kitchen experience in restaurants or the food industry demonstrating strong food handling skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and knife skills for efficient meal assembly
- Ability to work quickly in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
