Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, creative and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our team! Duties
- Decorate cakes, baked goods and other desserts with intricate designs, buttercream, fondant, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications.
- Prepare cakes and desserts by following established recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools safely and efficiently during food production.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation standards.
- Package finished products carefully for delivery or display, ensuring presentation remains pristine.
- Assist in food preparation tasks including batter and frosting preparation, portioning ingredients, and assembling baked goods for high-volume production.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer requests or questions about decorated products with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Careful attention to detail for every order including color matching, font matching, custom design work and more.
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating including buttercream, fondant work, sculpting, piping and other techniques.
- Skillful use of Lambeth piping, florals (both buttercream, piped and fondant), writing, and other frequently used techniques.
- Strong skills in food handling, baking techniques, and operating kitchen equipment safely.
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining creativity in decoration styles.
- High-volume production experience preferred to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards is essential.
Requirements:
- Saturdays are required. Occasional Sundays.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
