STLCC is seeking Part-Time Faculty are members of the English department staff assigned for instruction. Part-Time Faculty load involves teaching between 3 credit hours to 9 credit hours over all campuses in a given semester. Part-Time Faculty responsibilities involve activities in which a college teacher is expected to be engaged that are related to professional duties and responsibilities. Part-Time Faculty are expected to remain current with their instructional fields or disciplines through professional development activities and to update and revise their course outlines and materials to reflect changes in content and/or methodology. Part-time Faculty duties and responsibilities normally include:
- Formal course contact teaching hours.
- Preparation and planning for instructing assigned classes in accordance with course objectives.
- Preparing and correcting examinations and other student work assignments.
- Scheduling student conferences to review individual student progress.
Master's degree in Reading or a Master’s and 18 graduate hours in Reading.
