You must have a valid cosmetology license and be available to come with me to meet the previous owners as part of the transition since I am currently in the process of acquiring the salon. Location is Portsmouth,RI
Duties
- Provide professional hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services tailored to each client's preferences and needs
- Perform precise haircuts using tools such as scissors, clippers, and straight razors to achieve desired looks
- Deliver specialized treatments including blowouts, keratin treatments, and scalp care to enhance hair health and appearance
- Conduct consultations to understand client goals, recommend suitable styles or treatments, and explain aftercare instructions
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and sanitation protocols in accordance with industry regulations
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and cosmetics to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hairstyling, coloring, and grooming techniques
- Proficiency with salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
- Skilled in advanced haircutting techniques including barbering with straight razors and hair threading
- Knowledge of color theory, hair coloring procedures, and application of hair extensions for diverse client needs
- Expertise in eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and retail sales to provide comprehensive beauty services
- Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and relationship building
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards, store management practices, and retail math principles
- Ability to mentor junior team members or apprentices while maintaining a professional front desk presence when needed
