POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for identification of needs and delivery of services to patients who require speech therapy intervention in accordance with all state and federal regulations. Collaborates with center staff to promote the highest possible physical, mental and psychosocial well-being for the patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Screens, evaluates and develops programs for implementation for all patients as needed.
- Develops effective speech therapy treatment plans and goals to meet each patient’s needs.
- Collaborates/communicates effectively with other center team members to ensure optimal patient care and progress.
- Prioritizes responsibilities to ensure efficient clinical operations.
- Demonstrates ability and willingness to attain productivity benchmark.
- Completes documentation/billing timely, and accurately. Ensures MD orders are obtained according to company policy and procedure.
- Willingly accepts the supervision of Speech Language Pathology students as requested according to state, federal, and Speech Language Pathology Practice Act guidelines.
- Follows safety standards while performing patient-related duties: Uses good body mechanics, uses safety belts on patients, carries out transfer procedures correctly.
- Initiates discussion based on observation with supervisor and other team members regarding patients.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patients, customers, and MFA information.
- Adheres to appropriate dress code for assigned center and work environment as per employee handbook
- Ensures that written and oral communication is directed to appropriate personnel.
- Reports all instances of abuse or neglect or other concerns to management.
- Attends and participates in orientation, training, and in-service education, and staff meetings. Ensures all mandatory training is completed on time.
- Shares information with others through explanation and demonstration.
- Remains professional in appearance, dependability and interactions with others. Follows through on commitments.
- Acts with integrity on all matters. Demonstrates uncompromising adherence to ethical principles and organizational values.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Complies with pertinent laws, regulations, and MFA policies and procedures. Complies with ASHA code of ethics and State Practice Act.
- Performs duties in accordance with the MFA Corporate Compliance program.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by appropriate MFA management.
PREREQUISITES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- A Master's degree is required.
- Speech Language Pathologists will be actively pursuing or hold an active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) credential as awarded by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
- Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
