We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Data Governance Lead to champion data management excellence across our organization. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and implementation of data governance strategies, ensuring data quality, compliance, and integrity. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive data governance frameworks aligned with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to define data policies, standards, and best practices for data quality, security, and privacy.
- Lead initiatives on master data management (MDM) to ensure consistency and accuracy of critical enterprise data assets.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of data models, databases, data warehouses, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Informatica, Talend, or similar platforms.
- Monitor and improve data quality through regular audits, validation procedures, and implementation of automated data quality monitoring tools.
- Manage regulatory compliance related to data privacy laws and industry standards by establishing governance protocols.
- Utilize business intelligence tools such as Tableau for reporting and visualization; support analytics initiatives using SQL, Python, R, or other analytics tools.
- Lead project management efforts for large-scale data initiatives using Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Foster cross-functional communication to promote understanding of data governance principles throughout the organization.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in big data technologies, database systems, and information governance to continuously enhance our data strategy.
Skills
- Strong expertise in data management concepts including database design, database systems (SQL databases), and data warehouse architecture.
- Proficiency with SQL for querying and managing relational databases; experience with Oracle or similar database management systems is essential.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend; familiarity with Big Data platforms is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of analytics tools including Tableau for business intelligence reporting and visualization.
- Demonstrated project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance management related to data privacy laws such as GDPR or CCPA.
- Expertise in master data management (MDM), information governance, and data quality management practices.
- Strong analysis skills utilizing Python or R for complex data analysis tasks; experience with spreadsheets for ad hoc reporting is beneficial.
- Proven leadership abilities in driving strategic initiatives across diverse teams; excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with Linked Data principles and concepts related to semantic web technologies is advantageous.
