Position Overview
In Her Hands Group Home is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated House Parents to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment for youth in residential care.
House Parents play a vital role in the daily development of our residents by modeling positive behavior, teaching life skills, and creating consistency through supportive guidance and structured routines. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about mentoring youth and making a meaningful impact in their lives.
This position follows a 7 days on / 7 days off live-in schedule, allowing for work-life balance while maintaining stability for the residents we serve.
Schedule
- 7 full days ON / 7 full days OFF
- Shift change every Thursday at 11:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily supervision and care for residents in a structured home environment
- Implement daily schedules, routines, and activities for youth
- Serve as a positive role model demonstrating structure, compassion, and accountability
- Teach and reinforce life skills, social skills, and academic responsibility
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing atmosphere within the home
- Transport residents to school, medical appointments, court appearances, and recreational activities
- Facilitate community outings and constructive recreational activities
- Administer medication in accordance with program policies
- Complete accurate and timely documentation including incident reports, shift notes, and communication logs
- Support youth with homework, hobbies, and personal development goals
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and professionalism when working with youth and team members
- Strong communication, reading, and writing skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain structure while providing emotional support
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background screening and required clearances
Training Requirements
- Completion of 21 pre-service training hours prior to working with residents

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
