Overview
Our client, a real estate investment and management firm specializing in mobile home communities, is seeking a versatile, highly organized, and self-motivated professional to oversee daily operations, administrative workflows, and day-to-day bookkeeping. The ideal candidate has a strong background in property management software, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, vendors, and maintenance staff.
- Manage lease executions, renewals, and community rule enforcement.
- Oversee utility billing, collections, evictions, and delinquency management.
- Coordinate maintenance requests, turns, and capital improvement projects with on-site staff or contractors.
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts receivable (rent collection) and accounts payable (vendor invoices).
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards monthly.
- Process payroll and manage contractor 1099 reporting.
- Generate monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and budget-to-actual variances for ownership review.
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems, ensuring compliance with housing regulations.
- Order office supplies and manage corporate correspondence.
- Streamline operational workflows to improve efficiency across multiple parks.
- Assist ownership with specialized administrative projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years in property management, bookkeeping, or dual office management roles. Experience specifically with mobile home parks, affordable housing, or HOA management is highly preferred.
- Accounting: Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced experience with property management software and accounting software.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle difficult tenant situations with diplomacy and firmness.
- Organization: Extreme attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
