Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to shipping, receiving, and inventory management. This position requires a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers to move products efficiently.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of goods.
- Maintain inventory management systems, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular audits.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse management practices.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space for safety and efficiency.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
- Support distribution center operations by preparing orders for shipment and coordinating with logistics teams.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment.
- Proficiency in inventory management practices, including stock rotation and tracking.
- Experience with warehouse management systems such as AS400 is advantageous.
- Ability to operate an order picker or similar equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- Must be able to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as needed.
