American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR/Surgery RN for a 13-week travel contract in San Antonio, TX, with a 4x10 day shift schedule and a patient population spanning ortho, neuro, plastics, ENT, and robotics cases.

Hospital surgical unit specializing in general surgery

Patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, plastics, ENT, and robotic surgery cases

Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Epic EMR experience highly preferred
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license in TX or a compact state license valid in TX required

BLS certification required (AHA only)

Minimum 1 year of OR/Surgery nursing experience

BSN preferred

Responsibilities include independent nursing practice using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness

Provides patient and family education, addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
