Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, processing cash and card transactions smoothly.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling stations regularly.
- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while adhering to food safety and food handling protocols.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, including assembling snacks or light food items in accordance with health standards.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing drink service and ensuring timely delivery of orders.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and non-alcoholic drink offerings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving correct change.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and food handling procedures.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality service.
