A well-established law firm in Sioux City, Iowa is looking for an Attorney to join its growing team. The firm is primarily focused on litigation, family law and business law matters and they have built an excellent reputation as a boutique law firm in Sioux City. The ideal candidate will focus on either litigation or transactional issues and bring some experience with them, though the firm is also open to training the right person.
Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of civil litigation and business law matters from inception through resolution.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective case strategies.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advise business clients on legal issues, risk management, and operational matters.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments and legal strategy.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service.
- Participate in business development and community engagement efforts as desired.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active Iowa law license
- Prior experience in civil litigation, business law, or a combination of both preferred.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
