Marana Health is seeking an Eligibility Supervisor to join the Operations team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ.
The Eligibility Supervisor plans, coordinates, and oversees Eligibilty services throughout Marana Health services areas. Collaborates with Community Services Manager on Community engagement activities that support MH's mission and increase awareness of Available services. This position develops community partnerships, supervises Elgibility staff, analyzes program outcomes, and ensures services effectively address community needs while supporting organizational goals.
Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 11 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Our mission is to improve our community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.
The following qualifications are required:
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field
- Five (5) years of experience in community outreach, public health, healthcare, community relations, patient engagement, health education, or related programs.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and underserved populations.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and evaluating outreach initiatives, events, or community-based programs.
- Experience utilizing databases, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
- Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MH)
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Bachelors in Management or Healthcare related field preferred.
- Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community
health center, or nonprofit healthcare organization.
- Grant writing, grant coordination, or community partnership development
experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.

This position has the following supervisory responsibilities:
Supervises and monitors performance for an assigned group of employees. Supervisory duties include hiring and disciplinary actions, overseeing work assignments and quality, scheduling and timekeeping, performance evaluations, and training and development.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the use of database, reporting, and communication systems.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize organizational software applications.
- Knowledge of program administration, budget monitoring, project coordination, and community outreach program management.
- Knowledge of grant application, reporting, and compliance processes.
- Ability to establish, develop, and maintain effective relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and diverse populations.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of the challenges, barriers, and social determinants of health affecting underserved and diverse populations.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds while demonstrating cultural humility and respect.
- Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and outreach materials and effectively communicate information to employees, community members, stakeholders, and leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees Eligibility programs, initiatives, and activities to support organizational and community health objectives.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, grant, and organizational requirements related to outreach programs and activities. Identifies operational challenges and implements corrective actions to improve program effectiveness and outcomes.
- Collects, analyzes, and submits program data, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory agencies, grants, and organizational leadership.
- Maintains accurate records and prepares routine and ad hoc reports regarding outreach activities, program performance, and outcomes.
- Monitors eligibility program performance and prepares monthly and quarterly reports analyzing activities, outcomes, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Represents the organization through community presentations, educational events, stakeholder meetings, and outreach activities to increase awareness of services and programs.
- Collaborates with internal departments and provides education regarding outreach programs, community resources, and organizational initiatives.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with community organizations, businesses, schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote organizational services and community health initiatives.
- Provides training and communication regarding eligibility programs, community initiatives, and applicable regulatory or programmatic updates.
- Prepares and presents periodic reports on activities, program outcomes, and community engagement efforts to organizational leadership.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
