Description:
This full-time position provides emotional and spiritual support for religious women living at Mount Notre Dame Health Center, a health care community for aging Sisters run by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The Sisters of Notre Dame are committed to providing compassionate and supportive care in a homelike environment for a community of religious women who dedicated their lives to teaching, service, and caring for the most vulnerable among us.
The candidate will be a member of a team who are responsible for supporting the emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of our Sisters.
Key Responsibilities:

Support and accompany Sisters as they navigate their aging process

Foster a home-like atmosphere in the context of community life

Facilitate respectful and constructive communication

Advocate for the needs and concerns of the Sisters, individually and communally

Promote and support the spiritual life of the community

Collaborate with the Moderator Team, Health Center staff, and Provincial Leadership
-
Provide support to a Sister's needs during end-of-life stages
-
Maintain confidentiality

Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and beliefs of all members

Preferred Credentials:
- Social Work and/or Pastoral Care
- Experience working with the elderly
