TITLE: Business Systems Analyst (Contract)
LOCATION: Remote (U.S.)
ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract — 6 months, part-time (~20 hours/week), with potential for extension
PAY: Competitive hourly rate, depending on experience
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Our client, a well-established Pacific Northwest organization, is modernizing its enterprise communications — replacing its legacy Cisco Unified Communications platform with Microsoft Teams — and is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to lead the business analysis for the effort.
As the dedicated BSA on this project, you'll own the requirements function end to end. This is a focused, project-based engagement with real ownership — a great fit for a senior analyst who likes driving discovery and deliverables.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead business analysis for the Cisco-to-Microsoft Teams migration as the sole BSA
- Analyze the current platform to determine which features must carry into the new Teams environment (feature parity / gap analysis)
- Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops with IT and business subject-matter experts across the organization
- Document how the company's systems interact with the new platform
- Produce detailed systems requirements: functional and non-functional requirements, process flows, and system impact analysis
- Partner with developers, analysts, and testers through design, build, and test
- Support development of the Statement of Work for the implementation partner
This is fully remote with a flexible part-time schedule (~20 hours/week).
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Proven experience leading business/systems analysis, ideally as a sole contributor
- Background in UC/telephony environments (Cisco and/or Microsoft Teams Phone/Voice a strong plus)
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management across IT and business
- Experience producing systems requirements documentation (functional/non-functional, process flows, impact analysis)
- Experience with requirements-management and change-control tools
- Telephony infrastructure and technical architecture diagramming experience preferred
