M&M Construction Inc.: NOW HIRING — Asphalt Roller Operator
About us M&M Construction Inc., serving the Rochester area since 2006, performs residential and commercial paving: driveways, roadway patching, mill & overlays, paving, and parking lots. We prioritize safety, quality, and teamwork.
Position summary Seasonal Asphalt Roller Operator to operate rollers on residential and commercial paving jobs. Work primarily around Rochester, MN; some travel may be required. Company provides food & board when traveling; out-of-state assignments include per diem (rate based on destination).
Compensation & schedule
- Pay: $22–$30/hour (based on experience)
- Seasonal: May–November
- Hours: 25–50 hours/week (typical Mon–Fri; site-dependent; occasional weekends)
Key duties
- Safely operate vibratory rollers or plate compactors for compaction of asphalt surfaces
- Monitor mat temperature and achieve specified density/compaction
- Coordinate with crew and paver operators to ensure smooth mat and edge compaction
- Perform pre-op and post-op equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Assist with flagging, traffic control, and site prep as needed
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow site safety procedures
- Ability to secure equipment and transport from shop to and from jobsite
Requirements
- MUST HAVE MINIMUM TWO YEARS OF ROLLER EXPERIENCE!
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to shop
- Ability to perform sustained physical work outdoors, climb on/off equipment, and lift as needed
- Strong attention to safety, communication, and ability to follow Foreman's instructions
