We are looking for an ambitious, patient, and experienced Cook's to prepare meals in our facility. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and preparing ingredients, and then preparing food according to recipes.
Responsibilities
- Follow the prep list plan duties
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Prepare scratch dishes for a full meal and then serve and clean up afterwards
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties such as dish washing and cleaning as assigned
- drive food to the site
- Serve the meals

Requirements
- 2 -3 years experience as cook
- Must have an open schedule
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to stay positive, calm, and professional when communicating with residents/customers
- Ability to work with a team
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
- 2 years customer service or food service experience is a plus as you will be directly working with residents
- Must have or obtain ServSafe Managers certificate with in 60 days of hire.
- Must have a Valid Driver's license
