Shared Services is looking for a Pre-k teacher to join the team in our Integrated Pr-k program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's developmental needs and goals.
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and sensory activities aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management strategies suited for students with special needs.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support comprehensive student development.
- Utilize learning technology and adaptive tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and standardized testing to monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Foster strong communication with families to share progress updates, provide guidance on developmental milestones, and support at-home learning strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Valid teaching certification/license for early childhood or special education in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children who have developmental delays or disabilities.
- Knowledge of special education law (such as IDEA), educational compliance standards, and best practices in inclusive preschool settings.
- Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), hearing impairments (including deaf education), or other disabilities such as speech delays or behavioral health challenges.
- Familiarity with applied behavioral analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques for students with disabilities, and early intervention strategies.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners using learning technology and innovative instructional methods.
- Childcare or daycare experience is advantageous; prior work in private or public preschool settings is highly valued.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
