Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including drink service and food handling in compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to ensure a pristine environment
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of menu offerings, including wine knowledge and spirits experience, to answer guest questions confidently
- Uphold food safety standards and sanitation protocols diligently to ensure guest health and safety at all times
- Foster positive guest relations by providing personalized service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements
- Proven restaurant experience or food service background with a focus on fine dining preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests enthusiastically and professionally
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions efficiently
- Experience with cocktail making, beverage service, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service preferred
- Food handling certification or knowledge of food safety standards required; sanitation experience is advantageous
- Previous roles such as host/hostess or busser are beneficial; hospitality or food industry background highly valued
- Strong communication skills coupled with time management abilities to serve guests promptly and effectively
