Duties
- Assist nursing staff with patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
- Monitor patient conditions by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly to the healthcare team
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in patient rooms and common areas to promote infection control
- Support patient transfers and positioning safely, adhering to established protocols
- Document patient interactions accurately in medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance
- Prepare and restock supplies in patient care areas to ensure readiness for ongoing needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans across various specialties such as trauma, emergency medicine, geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and medical-surgical units
Skills
- Prior experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable
- Knowledge of hospital medicine, emergency medicine procedures, and inpatient care practices
- Experience with specialized units such as PICU, Geriatrics, OR (Operating Room), or medical-surgical wards enhances your versatility
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in outpatient clinics or post-acute/sub-acute care settings
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and supporting patient families
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments like emergency departments or teaching hospitals
- Commitment to ongoing learning and adherence to healthcare regulations and safety standards
