We are a collaborative General Practice and Urgent Care hospital seeking an experienced, highly skilled Veterinary Assistant who is confident providing excellent patient care, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, and is passionate about practicing high-quality veterinary medicine.
This is not an entry-level position.
We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in veterinary medicine who is ready to contribute while continuing to grow professionally alongside an experienced and supportive medical team.
This is also not a "sink-or-swim" hospital.

Our Veterinary Assistants are trusted members of the medical team—not simply support staff.
We believe skilled assistants make better medicine possible, which is why our assistants play a significant role in patient care, hospital flow, surgery, urgent care, and client communication.
Qualified Veterinary Assistants routinely participate in:
- General Practice appointments
- Urgent Care support
- Advanced patient restraint and low-stress handling
- Nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Surgical and dentistry assistance
- Patient preparation and recovery
- Laboratory diagnostics and sample processing
- Medication preparation and vaccine administration under veterinarian direction
- Patient monitoring and recognition of changing patient status
- Client communication and education
- Patient intake and medical history collection
- Maintaining an organized, efficient, and clean hospital environment
You'll work alongside a collaborative medical team that prioritizes exceptional medicine, mentorship, teamwork, and continuous improvement while maintaining a healthy and sustainable work environment.

What We're Looking For Technical Qualifications
Applicants should have previous experience working as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical veterinary setting.
Our ideal candidate is comfortable with:
- Patient restraint and handling
- Nursing care of hospitalized patients
- Surgical and dentistry assistance
- Laboratory diagnostics and sample preparation
- Medication preparation
- Monitoring recovering patients
- Recognizing changes in patient condition and communicating concerns appropriately
- Medical record documentation
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced veterinary hospital
Experience with anesthetic monitoring is strongly preferred, and candidates with advanced anesthetic monitoring experience may qualify for additional compensation.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Four-day work week
- Schedule posted 90 days in advance
- Rotating Saturdays (approximately 4–6 Saturdays per year)
