Position Summary:
The Customer Service Representative will serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs. Sales representatives will need to be well versed in product line to answer questions, and utilize company resources to solve problems, create solutions, and contribute to company profitability with increased sales revenue. Customer Service Representative will secure orders, call existing customers, contact new customers to establish new accounts, and communicate with relevant cross-functional members of the company for efficient operations
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Acts as first line of communication between customer and the company
- Interpret customer needs and generate proposals (quotations) to submit to clients
- Secure sales orders and thoroughly complete necessary documentation to define the product for processing through manufacturing
- Work collaboratively across all departments to ensure customer satisfaction with sales, product creation, product quality, shipping and overall service.
- Accurately and thoroughly complete all required forms and paperwork manually and / or electronically. Making sure customer information, product numbers/description/ pricing, and any action with respect to sales order is clearly communicated and initialed by author for reference and accountability.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of company products and product functionality.
- Create Job quotes and specifications based on customer data and company profitability targets.
- Respond to customer complaints and problems.
- Help Finance maintain customer accounts including overdue accounts and collections.
- Maintain accurate sales files and records.
- Perform regular reviews with clients to understand future issues and opportunities
- Demonstrate and deliver product to customers as required
- Other duties as assigned or requested by manager
Qualifications:
- Associates or Business degree in Sales, Business, Marketing or a technical discipline
- 1-3 years minimum of related Sales experience
- Computer skill proficiency – word processing, spreadsheets and ERP systems
- Ability to multi task and self-manages time effectively
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Some prior sales experience
- Demonstrated Communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong listening skills
- Organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Computer skills
- Results orientated / highly motivated
- Valid Michigan Drivers-License
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
