American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU/pediatric experience for a night shift travel position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.

NICU unit within a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
-
Pediatric, neonatal, and infant patient population
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Holiday rotation required
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call required
-
Floating within scope may be required depending on experience; no floating to sister facilities

Charting via Epic (experience preferred)

Caribbean Blue scrubs required

Current RRT certification (NBRC)
-
SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required — license must be in hand at time of start; license required if applicable

Current AHA certifications: BLS, PALS, and NRP
-
Minimum 2 years of experience with pediatric, neonatal, and infant patients

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler

Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized
-
All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs

Completion of online orientation modules is required prior to start

Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity occurs in August and September

Parking is free on nights and weekends with a one-time $20 parking pass payment
