Position Summary
The Pre-Suit Personal Injury Legal Assistant will play a critical role in managing cases from intake through settlement. This position serves as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, and insurance companies while ensuring each case progresses efficiently and clients receive the highest level of service and communication.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client intake and maintain regular communication regarding case status and treatment updates.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the pre-suit process.
- Open insurance claims and communicate with insurance adjusters.
- Obtain, organize, and review police reports, medical records, medical bills, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor clients' medical treatment and follow up with providers as needed.
- Maintain organized electronic case files and case management records.
- Prepare and assemble settlement demand packages.
- Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding records, bills, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate case notes and updates within the case management system.
- Provide exceptional client service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and team members to ensure cases move forward efficiently.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Personal Injury Pre-Suit.
- Strong understanding of personal injury case management.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance claims processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to outstanding client service.
Preferred
- Experience preparing settlement demand packages.
- Experience communicating with insurance adjusters and medical providers.
- Experience using case management software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
