Mi Casa Su Casa is looking for a compassionate, organized, and driven part time home manger to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, supports a high quality of life for residents, and manage direct care staff part on the weekends within the group home. A part time home manager oversees operations at the group home while on shift. Duties include managing the home, communicating with administration and 3rd party services, in home services and direct care staff. This job can be demanding/difficult and requires leadership, communication, and organization skills to meet the needs of the residents.
Oversight and management responsibilities with this position are:
- Responsible for the management and support of our group home program by implementing Mi Casa Su Casa’s mission, vision and values and includes making a positive impact on the support and running of the group home.
- Responsible for managing and leading Direct Care Staff including the enforcement of performance and attendance standards.
- Overseeing and managing appointments and appointment communication for residents.
- Ensure residents have support of daily living, accessing the community, medication and medical issues when indicated, and frequently interacts with contracted behavioral support.
- Ensures that a clean and safe environment is maintained, and that support provided meets expectations of Mi Casa Su Casa; complies with all relevant licensing requirements.
Responsible for the Residents of the home which includes:
- Preparing for and attending all resident support team meetings while on shift.
- In cooperation with the administration, maintain ongoing communication with all necessary individuals per resident’s plan as needed.
- Conduct quality assurance audits of your assigned locations to maintain accurate, complete and comprehensive resident living and files.
- Ensure all applicable regulations/standards are always adhered to.
- Document, Report, communicate, and follow up on all incident reports immediately and make all necessary notifications.
- Ensure residents are clean, well-groomed, and dressed (age appropriately, correctly for the season, and environmental conditions.)
- Ensure daily that residents are being emotionally and physically supported to the best of their ability.
- Perform all duties following safety standards required for this position including, but not limited to, PCSP habilitation goals and documentation for residents.
Responsible for Employees which includes:
- Enforcing staffing schedule for group home personnel.
- Communicating coverage gaps for open shifts.
- Ensuring proper resident to staff ratio.
- Ensuring all group home staff accurately complete the required shift documentation daily.
- Coach, guide and discipline all new direct care staff.
- Ensure that staff maintain compliance while on shift.
- Ensure staff adhere to and follow all Mi Cass Su Casa directives and policy and procedures.
- Attend training sessions required by the Mi Casa Su Casa.
Responsible for the Group Home which includes:
- Being flexible in resident assignment to assist with shift coverage if needed.
- Send progress updates to full time house manager and Mi Casa Su Casa administration.
- Ensure that the home is ready for surveys and inspections.
- Be present at all group home surveys and inspections while on shift.
- Grocery shopping if applicable.
- Submitting finance ledgers (expense reports) to administration on time.
Qualifications:
- 1-year management experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, including comprehending, reading and writing the English language, with tact.
- Flexible resident assignment and ability to assist with shift coverage, as needed.
- Must have or be capable of passing and maintaining all trainings and certifications per state and federal licensing standards.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to work at any work location.
- Must have or be capable of passing and maintaining CPR / 1st Aid.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
