Hogg Therapy Pediatrics is seeking a detail oriented, multi tasking, upbeat problem-solving Billing Team Member to join our team! Hogg Therapy is a family and therapist owned practice that is passionate about what we do both in the clinic and in the community. We have three clinics located in Richmond, Berea and Lexington, that serve Central Kentucky. In the Patient Billing/Verification role, you will be the patient contact point for the Billing Office. You will manage the billing phone line, complete insurance verifications, process patient balance billing and other billing duties as needed. You will collaborate daily with Patient Intake & Patient Access. You will be part of a small billing team that works closely together and supports each other.
Schedule & Location:
- Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8-4 or 9-5
- Richmond Location: 400 Farris Parks Blvd, Richmond, KY
What You’ll Do:
- Be responsible for answering the main billing line from callers regarding patient balance questions and returning calls as needed
- Review accounts for patient responsibility balances, process credit card payments, call patients to obtain updated credit card information as needed, update alerts for front desk, follow up on unpaid patient balances
- Document all contact and activity with detailed notes in computer software
- Complete insurance verifications for commercial and medicaid plans, via phone calls or website verification for new patients and for updated insurance changes from the patient
- Review monthly non active insurance coverage report
- Work with scheduling team as needed regarding cancelling or holding appointments
- Work with billing team to find solutions to new issues
- Other billing tasks or duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Medical front desk, insurance verification, or patient billing experience preferred (pediatrics/therapy a plus).
- Confident phone presence; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong organization and follow-through with multiple tasks, lists, and deadlines.
- Comfortable learning EMR/CRM tools (Fusion experience a plus).
- Team-first mindset; steady under pressure; solution-oriented.
