Join Our Team of Local Music Teachers!
Carolina Music School is seeking talented, reliable, and passionate music teachers to bring the joy of music directly into students' homes throughout Wake County.
We provide in-home music lessons for students ages 5–95. Most of our students are beginning to intermediate piano students, though we also teach voice, guitar, violin, and some advanced piano students.
You Teach. We Handle the Rest.
Our teachers focus on teaching while we take care of the business side, including:
- Student recruitment and placement
- Scheduling and parent communication
- Invoicing and payment collection
- Ongoing administrative support
- Two student recitals each year
Flexible Scheduling
Most lessons take place Monday–Friday between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, though weekend teaching opportunities are also available.
You choose your availability and preferred teaching load. Whether you're looking to teach just a few students each week or build a full schedule of 20+ students, we'll work to fill your calendar.
Requirements
- At least 20 years old
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Music major, music minor, music education degree, or equivalent music coursework and experience
- Ability to travel between student homes throughout Wake County, NC
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 20.0 per week

We carefully organize teaching schedules geographically, and most drives between students are 15 minutes or less.
