The Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving top-line revenue growth at Hotel Nyack through proactive outreach, relationship development, and the conversion of group, corporate, and social business. This role is both a hunter and a relationship builder — equally comfortable prospecting new accounts and managing existing clients through the full sales cycle, from inquiry to contract to a seamless handoff to operations.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Proactively solicit new group, corporate, and social business through outbound calls, site visits, networking, and community engagement.
- Respond to inbound RFPs and inquiries in a timely, compelling manner; conduct property tours and present tailored proposals.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of key accounts across corporate, association, social, and wedding segments.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue goals for room nights, F&B, and event space.
- Represent Hotel Nyack at local business events, trade shows, and industry organizations to build brand presence and pipeline.
Event & Group Management
- Partner closely with the Director of Operations and F&B Manager to ensure seamless execution of contracted events.
- Prepare and manage contracts, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and group resumes with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event meetings with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Collaborate with Front Office on group room blocks, cut-off dates, and rooming lists.
Reporting & Strategy
- Maintain up-to-date account and activity records in the hotel's CRM/sales system.
- Provide weekly sales reports and pipeline updates to the General Manager.
- Monitor competitive set, market trends, and local demand generators to inform pricing and strategy recommendations.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hotel sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong knowledge of the group, corporate, and social/wedding sales segments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; polished and professional in client-facing settings.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Experience with hotel CRM/sales systems (Delphi, Salesforce, or similar) preferred.
- Established relationships in the Hudson Valley/Rockland County market a strong plus.
- Degree in Hospitality, Business, or Marketing preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
