Thrift Trucking in Champaign, IL is searching for exceptional class B CDL drivers with air brake endorsement. We operate 26’ straight trucks with lift gates to service our business and residential customers. We have daily routes established to pick up and deliver LTL shipments in the Champaign / Urbana and surrounding areas. This position is M-F with daytime hours running local routes. This position requires at least 6 months of experience working as a class B CDL operator. Additional requirements include an acceptable MVR with no DUI or reckless driving infractions. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and solid communication skills both verbal and written. Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
JOB DUTIES:
· Perform daily pre and post trip inspections on assigned equipment.
· Run pre-assigned daily routes in a safe, conscientious manner.
· Meet LTL pickup and delivery appointments on time.
· Keep current on driver’s hours of service logs.
· Maintain bills of lading and shipment paperwork in an organized fashion.
· Report any shipment inconsistencies or time variance to dispatch.
· Report any equipment issues to dispatch.

This is a full-time hourly position with company benefits. We make health, dental and vision insurance available after 90 days. Hours are M-F and start times are typically early morning.
