Description:
This position works directly with business departments within Company’s Johns Creek campus to build and manage a pipeline of Information Technology projects and enhancements. A successful candidate must have experience leading, managing, implementing and assessing risk for manufacturing systems. The company’s business is undergoing a transformation as our campus separates from Novartis and becomes a stand-alone company.
This position also works collaboratively with Local IT & Business and Global IT departments to manage project intake, communicate status updates, and deliver projects on time and on budget. The position is based in Johns Creek, GA. It requires –

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our Application Support Teams within IT and Business Teams
- Incident & Escalation Management in the event of Production issues
- Liaise with customers, vendors and site personnel for problem solving.
- Benchmark current and future processes against best industry practices.
- Develop a roadmap of projects and initiatives for enablement of new capabilities.
- Project Management and mentorship of other IT Application resources
- Identify, Assess, Control & Mitigate Risks on Operational and New Systems
- Govern and schedule meetings; generate agendas and minutes; facilitate meetings;
- Ensure document approval timelines are aligned with the project schedules and milestones; serve as primary interface between project and the Doc Control department;
- Utilize PM tools such as MS Project to track and analyze schedules, develop scorecards and KPI’s, and generate informative and useful reports.
- Utilize Office suite (Excel, OneNote, Word, Visio, etc.) and SharePoint to develop and automate and improve the efficiency of current manual document management processes.
- Manage multiple assignments and sub-projects with little management oversight. Perform project scope, major deliverables and timeline.
- Guide long term development and continuous improvement
- Drive metrics management and performance of IT support and services with a focus on a data driven continuous improvement approach
- Perform root-cause analysis for service interruption recovery and create preventive measures.
- Improve security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Perform other projects as requested, directed or assigned.
- Assure compliance with site Quality Systems procedures, and any federal, state, and local regulations.
Required:
- Education: Minimum required: Bachelor’s degree (in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject)
- Preferred level: Master’s degree (technical or business) or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of demonstrated success in an IT environment
- Experience working in FDA or similarly regulated industry, manufacturing sites, and with cross-functional international teams a plus
- Strong experience / Leadership ability of enterprise-scale Application Management
- Strong Database skills
- Experience with IT Application Monitoring tools and techniques
- Experience with computer programming languages and interfaces
- Influence with Software vendors
- Highly developed critical thinking skills
- Hands-on experience in working with MFG Software Systems
- Experienced in Configuration Mgmt. and Query software
