Michigan's American Fleet Service Center, located in Lake Odessa, MI, Is looking for full Time State / ASE certified Technicians to expand our fleet service team: Providing preventative maintenance, Drivetrain and powertrain diag / repair and some fabrication / Body panel replacements. Specializing in, GMC Savana, Ram Promaster and Ford Transit delivery van repair. Start up pay is determined on experience and certification level, p rogressive pay is determined on knowledge base and work ethic / performance, within the company's new hire analytic period.

Responsibilities, But not limited to in the repair field of;
- Major electrical and driveability experience is a huge plus
- Mechanic must own and provide their own tool set to perform all areas of mechanic repair but specialty tools are provided by the shop
- Tire dismount, Mount and balance
- LOF Service
- Engine Repair
- Engine Tune up - Performance
- Automatic Transmission
- Manual Transmission and Axles
- Steering and Suspension
- Disc and Drum Brake Systems
- Heating and Air Conditioning
- Electrical Systems in Powertrain, Drivetrain, Exterior lighting and HVAC
- SRS System diag and repair
- Immaculate Shop / Work area cleanliness daily routine
Minimum requirements for consideration of employment;
- Sustain State and / or ASE licensing
- Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle to commute to and from work
- Level B Tech tool collection
- The ability to communicate daily with fellow technicians and service writers.
- The ability to navigate Mitchell 1 Tech data base
- The ability and familiarity with Snap On Scan tools and module reprogramming
- The ability to Maintain a clean work area while diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- Willingness to learn and take direction from management and senior staff
- Ability to lift 50+ lb Parts and equipment in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Ability to follow detailed orders on top of scheduled work from Service manager and Senior Staff in a fast paced environment
- Teamwork and great attitude
- Ability to sustain punctuality within a 8am to 5pm Mon thru Fri work schedule.
- Have entry level experience with operating a MIG Welder and Torch set
- Have entry level experience operating a four wheel alignment rack
