Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technicians to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, chillers and CRAC units.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as refrigerant lines, drainage, and water supply connections.
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure system integrity.
- Repair or replace mechanical parts including motors, compressors, valves, motors, and other equipment components.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, and parts used for each job.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local building codes while providing excellent customer service in the field.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems associated with HVAC installations and repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, appliances repair, welding techniques, and property maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively in troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems is essential.
- Knowledge of field service procedures including troubleshooting complex equipment failures on-site.
- Maryland Journeyman license required.
- Ability to push/pull/lift 30 lbs often, ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs occasionally, frequent standing/walking 85% of the time, sitting 15% of the time, ability to climb stairs and ladders often. Ability to hear and see clearly for safety.

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
